CARH’S BROADCAST E-MAIL – Membership Survey September 6, 2012 The deadline to take the basic apartment management and online education survey is close of business tomorrow, September 7, 2012. If you have not already done so, please take a few minutes out of your schedule to do so. Click here to access the survey directly or you can log on to the CARH website, www.carh.org, with your username and password and, under the Members Menu click on “CARH Surveys.” As background, an integral part of CARH’s mission is to provide educational and training opportunities for members. In addition to promoting CARH member training courses, CARH also offers its own two-day live training course entitled Basic Apartment Management (BAM). The BAM course provides on-site managers with the professional skills they need to manage multi-family housing properties. Recently, there has been discussion about offering the BAM course as an online educational opportunity for CARH members and employees of CARH member properties. This would be in addition to the live training component of the program. The Best Practices and Education Committees have received proposals from companies that are willing to produce such online training from our existing BAM course. However, before committing to the development of this online training, the Committees asked that a survey be developed to determine if there was sufficient interest from CARH members. Final results of the survey will be published in the Members Only section of the CARH website and will be used to make the decision on whether to request the Board of Directors to allocate the funds necessary to make the BAM course available online. In the meantime, if your state association or your company is interested in scheduling a live BAM training, please contact Tamara Schultz in the CARH national office at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or 703-837-9001.
