1)  Annual Meeting “Early Bird” Registration Discount Ends Friday, April 19th 

CARH’s 2019 Annual Meeting & Legislative Conference is quickly approaching! The meeting will be held June 24-26 at The Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City in Arlington, Virginia.

To take advantage of “early bird” registration discounts, submit your registration form (UPDATE as of 4/20/2019 – the registration form has been updated with current fees)and payment to the CARH National Office by Friday, April 19, 2019. You can also download registration information by visiting the CARH website, Meeting registration fees will increase after the 19th, so register now!

CARH has arranged for a preferred group rate at The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City. Please reserve your room by Thursday, May 21, 2019, to receive the discounted rate of $285 per night, single or double occupancy. To make your reservation online, click here or call the hotel directly at 703-415-5000 and identify yourself as a CARH meeting guest. Strong attendance is expected, so we encourage all CARH members to make your reservations as soon as possible.

The official Annual Meeting & Legislative Conference brochure, which includes information on daily committee meetings and education and training sessions, will be sent to CARH members in May. However, for travel planning purposes, the meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m., Monday, June 24th and adjourn at approximately 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26th

2)  Board of Directors Questionnaire for Candidates Due June 3, 2019

Serving on the CARH Board of Directors is an excellent opportunity to actively support your organization and to help develop policies and initiatives that will positively impact the affordable rural housing industry. CARH is seeking members to fill three board openings that will become available this summer, due to term expirations. Board terms are two years and board members may serve two consecutive terms.

If you are interested in serving on the board, please submit a completed Questionnaire for Candidates to the national CARH office by the close of business on Monday, June 3, 2019. The questionnaire represents an expression of interest in a board position, and serves as a substitute for a letter of interest. Please email the completed questionnaire to by the due date.

The CARH Nominating Committee will carefully review each questionnaire and recommend new directors. CARH members will vote on the recommended candidates at the General Membership Meeting, during the Annual Meeting and Legislative Conference, June 24-26, 2019. Board members will begin their terms at the June Board of Directors meeting, which also takes place during the Annual Meeting.
