CARH’s Annual Meeting Brochure Now Available; Discounted Meeting Registration Deadline May 18th and Hotel Cutoff May 25th

1) CARH Annual Meeting Brochure Now Available
The full agenda for the 2018 Annual Meeting & Legislative Conference, which will be held from June 18-20 at the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City in Arlington, Virginia, is available on CARH’s website, www.carh.org. You can also click here for a copy of the Meeting Brochure which contains the full agenda, a list of featured speakers, and the registration form.
Attendees will receive the most up-to-date regulatory and legislative news impacting the affordable rural housing industry. CARH has allotted time for attendees to meet with officials from key agencies and organizations and encourages attendees to schedule meetings with their individual members of Congress and staff to discuss the vital issues impacting the industry. Ensuring that there is adequate funding for all affordable housing programs will be a priority on CARH’s legislative agenda.
Educational sessions featured during the meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday include:

- After Tax Reform and Omnibus – More Changes and Opportunities to Come?

- Financing Tales from the Rural Roads of America – Role of the Section 538 Program
- Portfolio Management Issue – RD Budgeting and Audit Changes – What You Need to Know and Understand
Additionally, CARH’s standing committees will meet on Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m. The committee chairs want to hear from you! If you are interested in placing a particular issue on the agenda for any of the following committee meetings, e-mail your suggestion to carh@carh.org.
- Best Practices and Education Committees (joint session)
- State Affiliated Association Committee
- Management Committee
- Development and Owner Committee (joint session)
Following the committee meetings, CARH’s Board of Directors will hold their meeting, at which the 2018-2019 Executive Officers and Directors will begin their terms.
Also during the meeting, the following special events will be held:
- Welcoming Luncheon
- Opening Reception – After Hours Tour and Visit to Mount Vernon
- Lunch with Key Congressional Policy Makers
- Networking Reception and Raffle (raffle tickets will be on sale throughout the meeting Monday and Tuesday, and during this reception)
- Awards Breakfast (CARH’s Scholarship Foundation will present their 2018 Scholarship recipients and Rural Development will present their National Site Managers and Maintenance Person of the Year)
- Industry Trade Show with Exhibitors

2) Discounted Meeting Registration Deadline Ends May 18th; Hotel Cutoff Friday, May 25th
In order to receive CARH’s special group rate of $279 per night (single or double occupancy) at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City, attendees must make their reservations with the hotel no later than Friday, May 25, 2018. Strong attendance is expected at the meeting, so make your reservations as soon as possible. Call the hotel directly at 703-415-5000 and identify yourself as a CARH meeting attendee.
In addition, register now to take advantage of discounted registration rates! Simply complete the registration form and send payment to the CARH national office by May 18, 2018. Registration rates go up on the 19th, so make sure you submit your form today! Click here to download the registration form.
