Mark your calendar for the following upcoming meetings!

CARH Board of Directors Meeting
The CARH Board of Directors will meet September 23-24, 2010, at the Lorien Hotel & Spa in Alexandria, Virginia. In order to receive the special room rate of $209 per night, reservations must be made by Monday, August 23, 2010, by calling the hotel directly at 703-894-3434.

CARH 2011 Mid-Year Meeting
CARH's 2011 Mid-Year Meeting will be held January 23-25, 2011, at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Orlando, Florida. The recipients of the Harry L. Tomlinson Award, Member of the Year Award and State Affiliated Association of the Year Award will be honored. Additional information regarding the Mid-Year Meeting will be posted at a later date.

CARH 2011 Annual Meeting
CARH's 2011 Annual Meeting will be held on June 12-14, 2011, at the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City in Arlington, Virginia. The winners of CARH's 2011 Gordon L. Blackwell, James L. Poehlman and Jack Godin, Jr. Scholarships and RD Site Managers of the Year will be honored during the conference.

Tax Credit Percentages
For September 2010: 9%: 7.65 \| 4%: 3.28 Previous Month's Credits The IRS publishes monthly credit percentages that apply to low-income housing tax credit buildings placed in service that month. There are two rates: the 70% present value credit (PVC) and the 30% present value credit. The maximum 70% rate is available for low-income new construction and substantial rehabilitation expendiretures that are not federally subsidized. The maximum 30% rate applies to acquisition expenditures and to federally subsidized low-income new construction or substantial rehabilitation expenditures. *Note: The Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 provides for a flat minimum percentage of 9% for the 70% present value housing credit for projects placed in service after July 30, 2008. Tax forms and publications in the PDF format can be viewed, navigated and printed from a workstation using the freely available Acrobat Reader software from Adobe Systems Inc.
