CARH’S BROADCAST E-MAIL – Regulatory Alert

Rural Development’s Office of Multifamily Housing sent out the following announcement:

  • On June 14th, 2022, Rural Development (RD) released Version 8.2.1 of the Preliminary Assessment Tool (PAT). RD underwriters utilize the PAT to document Multifamily (MFH) transfer and Multifamily Housing Preservation and Revitalization (MPR) decisions. This version includes updated Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) rents and Fair Market Rent (FMR) data based on the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) April 2022 data release, the 2022 Management Fee, Guarantee Fee Calculation, and updated State Average Cost Analysis for comparison.The newest version can be found on our website under the “To Apply” tab: Housing Direct Loans | Rural Development (usda.gov).

We would ask CARH members to review the new PAT. If there are issues or concerns, please let CARH’s National Office know as this will be an item for discussion during CARH’s Annual Meeting and Legislative Conference on June 27-29 at The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City in Arlington, Virginia.
