Statement Regarding HUD FY 2023 Median Family Income Estimates and Income Limits

On December 1, 2022, HUD released a statement announcing that it intends to base its Fiscal Year (FY) 2023 median family income (MFI) estimates and income limits on data from the 2021 American Community Survey (ACS). This is because of the Census Bureau’s decision to not release standard one-year estimates from the 2020 ACS. HUD plans to release the FY 2023 MFI estimates and income limits on or about May 15, 2023.
