On July 13, 2023, Rural Development’s (RD) Office of Multifamily Housing issued PN 587 which published 2023 Income Limits for multifamily housing programs. The updated 2023 income limits include limits for the Section 538 Guaranteed Rural Rental Housing Program. The income limits were effective July 13, 2023. The current Income Limits are 115% of the Area Median Income (AMI) for each County/Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) and household size.

The updated Income Limits are available on the Office of Multifamily Housing’s website under “Tool and Resources” and also available on the Multifamily Housing Loan Guarantees website under the “Overview” tab.
