1) Timeframes for Closing Calendar Year-End 2025 Transactions
Today, RD’s Office of Multifamily Housing issued an Announcement entitled, Timeframes for Closing Calendar Year-End 2025 Transactions. The announcement provides the Production and Preservation Division’s 2025 calendar year-end closing schedule.
As stated in the announcement, owners and applicants intending to close a transaction on or before December 31, 2025, must have fully executed conditional commitments/letters of conditions, and all outstanding information and documentation submitted on or before Friday, October 3, 2025. This includes having fully approved third-party reports, organizational document review, and construction documents.
2) Announcement of Revisions to RD Civil Rights Forms and Posters
On June 13, 2025, RD’s Civil Rights Office announced revisions to some of their forms and posters. Today, they issued an Announcement providing links to the revised forms, and a list of now obsolete forms. It is important to note that the Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan (Form HUD 935.2) was listed as an “Obsolete RD Form” and thus should no longer be used in submissions.
