CARH’s 2026 Annual Meeting & Legislative Conference will be held on June 22-24 at The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City, Arlington, Virginia. The Meeting Brochure, which includes the full agenda, can be viewed and downloaded by clicking here.
HOTEL ROOM BLOCK DEADLINE – TODAY, MAY 29
If you have not already done so, please make your hotel reservations TODAY!! The guestroom block is filling quickly, and the deadline to receive the discounted group rate of $325 per night, single or double occupancy is this today, May 29, 2026. To reserve your room online, click here or call the hotel’s reservation desk at 800-422-2410 and reference the “Council for Affordable and Rural Housing” or “CARH” room block. If you have a problem making your reservation please contact Anne Stuart, CARH’s Meeting & Events Consultant, at astuart@verizon.net and she will assist you.
If you have already made a room reservation which you no longer require, please contact Anne Stuart before canceling your reservation as we expect to have attendees who will need rooms after the deadline.
REGISTRATION
Discounted meeting registration ends next week on Friday, June 5. To receive a discounted registration rate, please submit your registration form and payment to CARH’s National Office by that date. CARH registration information can also be found on the website, www.carh.org.
CARH’s registration fees will increase on June 6th, so please register now!
BOARD OF DIRECTORS QUESTIONNAIRE
As a reminder, CARH is seeking members to fill two board openings that will become available in June. Board terms are two years, and board members may serve two consecutive terms.
If you are interested in serving on the board, please submit a completed Questionnaire for Candidates to the national CARH office by the close of business on Friday, June 5, 2026. The questionnaire represents an expression of interest in a board position and serves as a substitute for a letter of interest. Please email the completed questionnaire to carh@carh.org by the due date.
The CARH Nominating Committee will carefully review each questionnaire and recommend the new director. CARH members will vote on the recommended candidate at the General Membership Meeting, during CARH’s Annual Meeting. Board members will begin their terms at the June Board of Directors meeting, which also takes place during the Annual Meeting.
