On September 25, 2026, CARH sent out a Broadcast Email notifying members that Rural Development (RD) published a Federal Register Notice entitled, Multifamily Housing Preservation Pilot and Multifamily Housing Guaranteed Loan Notice of Loan-to-Cost Percentage Change for Option 3 (Continuous Guarantee).

On October 8, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. Eastern, RD will be hosting a webinar so stakeholders can “Learn about the newly released Multifamily Housing Loan Preservation Pilot and the Multifamily Housing Guaranteed Loan Notice of Loan‑to‑Cost (LTC) Percentage Change. This session provides a quick overview of how the pilot streamlines transfers, reduces duplicate paperwork, and supports long‑term preservation of affordable rural rental housing. Join us to understand key features, eligibility considerations, and what stakeholders need to know before the pilot takes effect.”
